Sambridhi R. Shakya (Visual Artist)
Sambridhi Ratna Shakya is a visual artist based in Patan, Nepal, who has a keen interest in exploring the tangible and intangible facets of the city he lives and works in. He completed his BFA (Studio Arts) from Kathmandu University School of Arts in 2023. Since then, Sambridhi has been working in collaboration with Artist Subodh Bhandari, together, participating in a number of exhibitions.
The artist, with his respective background, believes the city holds certain aspects crucial for comprehending the present and future condition of the city. As a result, the work he creates simply centers on the changing nature of the city with a personal touch of nostalgia. His work varies from pen drawings, mixed-media paintings, installations, and sculptures.
Currently, Shakya is also working as an Art Teacher at Euro School, Chhauni, Kathmandu
